Pakistan And Qatar Move Swiftly To Save Middle East Peace

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to prevent a massive regional conflict, Pakistan and Qatar have stepped up rapid diplomatic efforts to salvage the fragile peace process between the United States and Iran.

Following fresh military strikes in the critical Strait of Hormuz, Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir held an emergency telephone call with the Iranian Foreign Minister. The sudden military escalation has disrupted key shipping lines, forcing Pakistan to enter the spot LNG market after a scheduled Qatari cargo ship was abruptly cancelled due to maritime security threats.
