Foreign mountaineer loses his life on K-6 mountain in GB

A foreign mountaineer lost his life on K-6 mountain near Hushe valley in Ghanche district of Gilgit Baltistan (GB), the private media outlet reported on Wednesday.

According to the initial information, a French citizen named Pierre Guillaume lost his life in the avalanche on K-6 peak in GB. The details confirmed that Pierre Guillaume was part of a three-member mountaineering team.

On the other hand, the other two team members have not returned to the base camp. The authorities in the area are trying to get their whereabouts as a search operation is underway.

The local police and volunteer teams have started the operation to find the lost mountaineers on K6 mountain in Ghanche district of GB.

Earlier, Pakistani mountaineer Salman Attique brought glory to the country by summitting the world’s highest peak, Mount Everest.

Salam Attique is now one of those Pakistani mountaineers who waved the Pakistani flag at the top of Everest. Several Pakistanis, after his success, congratulated him online.

Salman Attique reached the summit of Mount Everest on Thursday at around 11:40 a.m. local time. Upon reaching the peak of the 8,848-meter-high mountain, he hoisted the national flag, making the entire nation proud.
