Journalists Ahmad Noorani, Jameel Farooqui declared proclaimed offenders
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad District and Sessions Court has declared journalists Ahmad Noorani, Jameel Farooqui, and PTI leader Seemabia Tahir as proclaimed offenders in cases linked to propaganda against the Pakistan Army on social media.
Judicial Magistrate Muhammad Abbas Shah issued the written order declaring all three individuals as proclaimed offenders.
The court also directed the issuance of their permanent arrest warrants.
According to court records, the suspects were summoned multiple times but did not appear.
The NCCIA has already submitted challans in their separate cases, which were registered in July and August 2025.
Court officials said the decision was taken due to their continued absence despite completion of the investigation and submission of challans.
